All 6th - 8th grade camps are taught Session 1: On Stage!Discover the art of theatre! Introduce your budding performer to the fundamentals of the craft -- from acting, improvisation, and scene work to designing, playwrighting, and painting. This camp will inspire imagination and creativity in kids of all ages while they learn the ins and outs of all aspects of theatre.
Session 2 Middle School: Camp DraculaKeep busy this July with our brand new middle school camp. 6th-8th graders will be exposed to every aspect of a theatrical performance, from start to finish, culminating in the showcase of their work. This is the chance to 'put on a play' this summer, working on everything from props and costumes to acting and directing! The play: Dracula, the original vampire story!
Session 2 Kindergarten: Stage DoorWhat better way to enjoy the summer than to head to camp for the first time! Kindergartners will be introduced to theatre in the best way possible -- through playing and pretend. This camp will focus on engaging the imagination a the first step to learning about theatre.
Session 3: Hit Your Mark!Master the essential techniques of theatre -- onstage and behind the scenes. Through improvisation, acting, and scene work, as well as an opportunity to learn about the technical aspects of theatre, Session 3 will give kids the confidence they need to make a splash at their next audition or performance; confidence they will carry with them throughout the school year and their lifetimes.
All our camps are designed to be age appropriate. Younger students learn to hone their imagination and creativity through play activities, arts and crafts. Older students will explore the theories and methodologies of performance as well as the technical aspects of theatre productions. Participation in our summer program does not guarantee placement in any TCR production. |
